Dread it!

Hi there,

Have you ever experimented with the dreadlock? I have and it gives one a sense of freedom!

First off,you will not have to worry about hair care because this is twice as simple as taking care of the usual Kinky hair (if you are African or bi-racial)...

Although you would need the care of a loctician now and then, it is still simpler to take care of and believe me-it's all worth it.

Braid it!

Braid-Singular
Def-A structure of hair that is made by weaving three or more strands of hair together.
Braids-Plural

Hair braiding in Africa can be traced back as far as 3500BC and is a large part of many cultures in Africa.

Young girls have their female friends or relatives to braid their hair and learn many elaborate hairstyles of braids which they keep practicing and redefining.

In Egypt, braiding was done on wigs which were worn by Royalty.

Braiding can be more than one thing. The act of getting together to braid hair could be an opportunity to socialize and pass down tradition.

Having one's hair braided keeps it out of the way and makes it easy to maintain.
Hair braiding was originally done by married women only in certain societies but it has become a function of style rather than anything else in modern times.

Of Angels...

J'ai l'habitude de penser que des êtres évolués Angels hautement de la lumière avec des ailes duveteuses....

Yes! I used to think of Angels as beings with wings...Not anymore...and by the way, they still exist and live among us!

Yesterday,as we took a long stroll down to the lake,my friend and I moved with lazy strides and didn't give a care in the world as the weather was beautiful and the conversation was light-just like we enjoy it once in a while. Through our nothings of the walk,we met a mutual friend who looked sooooo lost. He was a shadow of what he used to be and although we didn't feel like really talking,well...we did talk and found out that this friend of ours was just from rehab!

Damn! I say this to everyone who cares to care that sometimes,- and mostly all the time, angels come when we least expect them because this she friend of mine has found out about what was tying her down for many years through our He- friend who was in rehab. He is an angel! He made our day,we cried and laughed and dared to care to speak more and learn more and my friend-,who was going through so much has been shown the light and I wish her love and light....and strength and courage to finally face her fears and move on.

Angels! Always around us...all we have to do is wash our faces in salve! We all need such people around us. I am so proud of our friend for making it through rehab and I wish my friend lots of love...:)

Surreal Incarnations: Statement Shoes!

Lady of fietas!!!

The designer Nicole Miller threw the deadliest bash 1/2 November for the day of the dead. I like the colors, surprisingly.I am not one who would run for pink-I must admit,I usually cling earthly colors like biege, green and browns...but I love the entire st up and the sun flower makes it complete.
